“My brother has been fed by staff from Reliance Community Care since he returned from hospital unable to feed himself. I have been impressed by the patience and sensitivity that the staff continuously shows my brother but mostly, it's the extra things they do for him beyond their remit that is particularly remarkable. As his speech has deteriorated, it has become very difficult for him to convey his wishes and often he is upset and frustrated with his inability to communicate. Several times I have received a phone call from his carer who, upon realising that my brother is more able than usual to speak, has passed their phone to my brother enabling him to share his wishes whilst he momentarily has regained his speech. This is typical of the thoughtfulness and kindness routinely demonstrated.”
